You didn’t realize how bright it was until the sun set. You did realize how much pressure you felt until it was gone. You didn’t experience how grateful you should have been until it was gone.

Different than expected, but what was needed. Harder than hoped, but worthwhile. Two steps backward, and one forward.

Despite the time, it was a satisfying conclusion. Despite the what ifs, it was worth celebrating what was done. Despite the alternatives, it was a good outcome.

It’s easier to do a solo dance number than coordinate a flash mob. It’s easier to coordinate a flash mob than to coordinate an orchestra. And it’s easier to coordinate an orchestra than to…do something else really hard.
