Unfollow checklist

In my journey to understand comparison social media has played a big role.

Social media can be the cause of distraction, self-depreciation and negative comparison.

Here is a practical method to help make social media a tool that serves you.

Unfollow if:

  • post create a feeling of envy
  • you feel constantly overwhelmed by the mass amount of information, cleanse out who you’re following
  • make you doubt your own dreams

A brief clarification, feelings of envy or covetousness are often not the fault of the person posting but are personal battles that need to be resolved.

I am not offering unfollowing as the solution to being envious or prone to comparison.

However, a good way to begin resolving these internal conflicts would be to unplug from the temptation of constant comparison.

Just remember, social media is a highlight real, don’t compare the entirety of your life to someone elses highlights.
