Often you’ll hear exclaimed that the homeless, the poor, the less fortunate will die on the streets without government programs.
Yet in the status quo, where the government is highly involved, we see this very thing occurring. This isn’t to say that all government intervention is negative, but rather that we can not rely on government intervention as a definite solution.
When studying for a purposed solution for homelessness I couple key points which I summarize below:
- Less government intervention in housing would make housing more affordable and accessible.
- Facilitating job growth by letting companies decide on what valuation to put on their employees work.
- Stand next to our brothers and sisters in need and finding opportunities to be charitable and generous.
- Incentivize more charity by decreasing taxes.
- Raising families that uphold the values of respect, which is key to eliminating domestic violence.
You’ll find that many positive steps towards decreasing violence are made by individuals or by the recession of the overextension of government.
