don’t let the collective influence your attitude

Social reformation begins with the individual.

It’s so easy to overlook the power of the individual when you focus on the collective. The collective is flashy and noisy. It distracts, whether that be in the form of notifications, envying someone else success or dwelling on missed opportunities.

Unfortunately, it’s incredibly easy to get distracted by the collective. We practically have distraction devices tied to us 24/7 in the form of our phones. We need a frequent, if not daily, reminder to bring the focus back to the individual, you.

Distractions are one of the most potent debilitators from becoming who you need to be.

History shows time and time again that innovation and inspiring change comes from the individual.

You need to be the best possible you.

To distract from the noise guard against:

Superiority complex: an attitude of superiority, that you are the most important person in the room, which conceals actual feelings of inferiority and failure.

Inferiority complex: an attitude of inferiority, over modest delusion of insignificance.

Both have a fragile ego that is created by focusing on the collective. Both are dependent on having others around.

Do not let the collective drowned out your power as an individual.
