Day 3 of reevaluating my writting.
As I’ve been reflecting, I’ve realized a topic I’m incredibly passionate about is education.
This ties into why I like writing about self-help.
Firstly, self-help is a form of self-education, which I believe encompasses most, if not all, education. Secondly, self-help is commonly a change in mindset or action which is where I tend to focus my writing already.
Unfortunately, both education and self-help are very broad categories. I’m continuing to narrow down to a handful of topics under the header of self-help.
As I continue to find topics I want to establish myself as a leader on, there is another area I need to evaluate. Improving my writing, increasing the quality of content I produce on whatever topic I’m writting on.
I’m toying with what this standard looks like. It’s a standard I’m going to familiarize myself with this week. This is a standard I know will, and should, constantly be changing.
For now, here are some quality metrics I’ve identified: I want to be more focused, provide greater depth, and clearer arguments in my current writing.
I’m enjoying reflecting and refining the purpose of my writing and what I want to gain from it.
