one of my favorite character qualities

In the realm of character qualities, I feel as though hard work is often given the default crown.

Of course, there are a lot of good things to be said about hard work.

Hard work is necessary. However, hard work is often just a piece in the larger puzzle.

The direction in which hard work is applied is often the unsung hero and determiner of the outcome.

How commonly do you see tremendous effort poured into a fruitless project?

Your efforts can have the most return, and value, when you apply it in the right place.

This is where resilience enters the picture.

Resilience is about putting in hard work when it matters the most: after experiencing a setback.

Identifying a solution, after deeply analyzing the problem, and applying effort to accomplish it is resilience.

I also see people who are resilient as opportunists. They exercise discernment and identify areas to be resilient, and consequently, areas to stop investing in.
