Why Robots Won’t Take All Our Jobs

Milton Friedman, one of my favorite economists, makes a great argument that human wants are infinite.

The past hundred years speak as a testament to that claim. Innovation did not stop when our basic needs were fulfilled. We have, and will continue to, innovate to meet our never-ending wants.

Because human needs are infinite there will always be more work to do.

In the simplest terms, robots are not going to take all our jobs, because there will always be more jobs being created to meet our infinite wants.
