Startup Life: Learn to Focus During the Fall

A startup is often correlated with jumping off of a cliff and building an airplane as you fall.

It’s true.

As you’re falling you’re building, everything from the floor of the plane to figuring out the overarching design. You must ensure the wings are parallel and aligned for a balanced and smooth ride.

As you make the decent you glance below, promising yourself only a quick look.

With the ground quickly approaching you to seem to think, how is this going to work!?

You see the details of the ground and switch your focus.

You become panicked.

Suddenly building the airplane isn’t the focal point, the ground is.

You go where you focus, focus on what you can control.
