An open letter to myself:
Honesty is invaluable.
If you aren’t capable of being honest with yourself – you literally cannot be honest with others.
If others point out a discrepancy in your words – and they’re right – you have a moral obligation to take corrective action.
The first step is to apologize.
The second step is to right the discrepancy.
The cost of righting the discrepancy is lower than whatever the discrepancy cost you.
I guarantee it.
Place your value on the internal lesson – for that is where it truly matters.
