Traditions I’m Tempted To Start

I really enjoy the holiday season.

Specifically, because of the high spirits, people tend to be in, the excuse to be generous and the opportunity to unite in fellowship with family and friends.

I am truly grateful for all of these things, but especially the later.

Reflecting on the impact of the holidays, I am inspired to seek out and create more opportunities to bring people I love and appreciate together, instead of simply relying on the holidays every year.

To not fly to the extreme of another spectrum and through myself into what appears to me to be very draining exercise of coordinating events, I’ve thought of a few I might want to have on special occasions. Below are three traditions I’m considering  starting:

Egg Roll Challange: Inspired by my deep love for egg rolls, this would be a day where you just come together with friends and make anything into an egg role. There are no rules. My traditional classic egg roll is cabbage and pork, however, you can get really creative and make a brownie and apple egg roll or any other combination you are inclined to try!

Egyptian War Tournament: self explanatory. Unless you don’t know how to play Egyptian War, than you’ll have to contact my secretary and see if I have any openings for prodigies.

Art Day: where you draw with friends, maybe even draw your friends.

(I’d like do to a coding day as well, maybe after I’m a little more versed in Python.)

To be with family and friends is truly a treat, something that we should have more of even when it’s not the holidays.
