What Do You Do For Fun?

If your answer was creating a well balanced and diverse portfolio – that makes two of us.

An observation I’ve made is that we, myself included, often have a limited sense of what we view as “fun”. I think this is contributed in large part to how we are incentivized by pain and pleasure.

“Fun” is often used to primarily define things we find relaxing, which can sometimes – but not always be equated to things that are easy.

But “fun” does not always equal fulfilling.

This is important. Because subconsciously we can live a life of fun that we ultimately look back on little real fulfillment, and that is a tragedy.

Similar to passion, which is often something that doesn’t immediately happen but is developed over time and with effort, fun doesn’t have to be limited to this commonplace definition.
