I’ve written about creating opportunity in the past. 

But today I was again reminded of its power and the real message behind creating opportunity: empowerment. 

It stands in the face of the lie that you need to wait for permission. And gives you freedom from pacifying your ambitions with the excuse that the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself. 

What are some practical ways to create opportunity?

In my experience, the first and most prominent ingredient has been direct asks. 

A little suggestion, ask, proposal, a text message can lead to valuable work, life and personal experiences. 

But in general, if you can be especially clear and direct in your asks targeting specific people or experts you know.

This is the start of the foundation to creating opportunity and loudly proclaiming that you will not pacify your ambitions.
