Every event that has happened before now cannot be undone.
For example, the outcome of the Revolutionary War is outside of your control just as much so as the number of times your grandparents drove to the grocery store last year.
However, you can change your perception of past events, which allow you to live a life without regret.
Take a memory or event that has happened in the past, could be one you’ve viewed negatively or positively, and think about how to view it in a way that gives you value.
This should not be confused with taking something terrible and slathering some sunshine and roses over it, calling it “good.” That could be incredibly destructive and doesn’t add value to anyone.
Rather identify how you’re viewing events and what way you could view them to be more positive.
Be conscious of how you view the past because the reality is that it’s already happened and how you remember it is how you live a life without regret.
