How will I feel on this day a year from now?

Currently, I don’t know the answer to that.

And I probably won’t know until that day occurs, a year from now.

However, I hope that regardless of whatever geographical location, physical condition or mental disposition I have at that time, that I am filled with a continual drive, passion, and love for others.

Although it is a wonderful thing to feel special do not let this feeling become what you appreciate about others. To appreciate someone because of how they make you feel, quickly becomes a selfish cycle.

So dear future self, as cliche as it may sound, prioritize the love, care and good treatment of others without dependency on a “good day”.

Serving and loving others is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding (I’m not sure about low-risk) investment you can make.

Model after the one who came and displayed His perfect love many years before you.
