Subconscious Action

I find myself subconsciously taking action, this is known as a habit.

Various studies by cognitive psychologists, indicate that anywhere from 40 to 95 percent of human behavior—how we think, what we say, and our overall actions—falls into the habit category. (If learning more about your habits interests you Habit by Charles Duhigg is a great read)

So if we go off of the generalization a conservative 50 percent of our time each day is spenton autopilot.

Not to say that all habits are bad — it’s just good to be reminded that so much of our action is out of habit and that might include action you don’t want. Especially if it’s an area you’d like to see different results in.
