What Is Said vs What I Hear

“I’m busy,” equates to, “I don’t have ownership of my time.”

“I can’t do this,” equates to, “I’m choosing to place limitations on myself, while making it seem like I’m the victim.”

“That’s impossible,” equates to, “I’m choosing not to even consider this as an option.”

“What will they think of me?” equates to, “I’m letting the opinions of others dictate my actions.”

“I’m angry,” equates to, “I’m giving others the power to dictate my emotions.”

“I’m not ___ enough,” equates to, “I’m choosing to believe a lie that places limitations on who I am as a person.”

This growing list serves as a personal reminder to be conscious of what you’re choosing.

Because at the end of the day: you always have a choice.
