Define your terms, always.
Value is defined as the meeting point between a need and the fulfillment of that need.
What are your needs? What are mine?
To determine what is valuable to you specifically, you must first answer the above.
Personally I didn’t write down a list of activities, but rather some guiding principle.
I have a need to fulfill my purpose.
I also have a need to do things that I enjoy and that make me happy.
(Although the pursuit of happiness can never be the ultimate deciding factor, else you become a slave to your senses.)
In order to fulfill my purpose I may need to do things that I don’t enjoy but are still valuable.
For example, I have, now, fond memories from my childhood doing things like weeding the garden for countless hours or moving tons of firewood, which I didn’t always enjoy but helped build character, resilience, and grit.
Any situation can be valuable, I think the key is knowing what you need, and therefore value, and making decisions to maximize on what is most valuable.
After all, quality over quantity.
