“I’m going to work.”
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, exciting about that sentence.
The word “work” has bothered me for a long time.
Such an unpleasant dull word to describe how most of us will spend the vast majority of their time.
This may be a unique battle I’ve picked, for not all of my friends have resonated with the great distaste I feel towards the words “work” or “job”, however I think it undeniable that a more exciting word would be a potential positive, the lack of excitement doesn’t help our perspective.
As I was describing this plight to a friend they pondered it and provided a fantastic alternative: second home.
“I’m going to my second home.”
A place where you’re hopefully surrounded by people who care about you and are courageous enough to try new things.
And with that I wish all of you a fantastic day tomorrow at your second home.
