“Warren Buffett is way too rich to be living that frugally.” said one of my friends.

This is a thought provoking statement.

Why does Warren Buffett live so frugally, driving an older car and choosing a simple breakfast from McDonalds most days?

I’m inclined to believe it brings him joy.

Or to tie in a concept from one of my favorite finance books I read every year, he acts frugally because it aligns with his happiness exchange rate.
