So, You’re Going To Hong Kong?

If you’re planing a trip to Hong Kong here are a few recommendations.

  1. Visit the secluded Tsz Shan Monastery, reserve tickets, which are free, in advance.
  2. En route to the monastery, don’t miss the vibrant Tai Po market.
  3. For a unique dining experience with a casual atmosphere, check out the Australia Dairy Company, known for its direct and hurried service.
  4. Spend a few hours exploring the impressive Hong Kong Museum of Art, which is one of my favorite museums in Asia.
  5. Hong Kong’s dim sum is outstanding, and One Dim Sum has both high quality and affordability, with dishes costing around $3 USD. Be sure to try their egg buns!!
  6. Visit a dai pai dong restaurant for a diverse selection of street food.
  7. If in season, don’t miss the opportunity to savor McDonald’s wings and shake fries – a must-try.
  8. Experience the iconic Ding Ding street trolley and the Star Ferry, both of which you can ride for as little as 50 cents.

Other things we did that I thought were overrated was the M+ museum and Victoria peak.

I loved Hong Kong. Getting around with just English was fine for the most part and there’s a lot of ethnic diversity.
