Sometimes the perfect day surprises you.
Like a dish you were indifferent to that transforms mid bite.
If, or should I say when, you find yourself in Bangkok you MUST visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market.
Imagine a street market that spilled over into a neighborhood. Now add on a few more neighborhoods. You might be envisioning something close to the market, if albeit not nearly as good smelling, which is composer of a symphony of over 15k stalls of different goods, art, clothing, and food.
Then next to the market there’s a beautiful park, the Queen Sirikit Park, which is best described as a botanical garden.
And that’s it.
From the outside the day doesn’t seem grandiose, and it doesn’t need to be, because to live it is the only way to uncover the magic, the next time you’re in Bangkok.
