After strolling around in the gently cool night air it’s time to engage in the joyful chorus of the Da Lat night market and find some good eats.
Bánh mì xíu mại – A Bánh mì with meatballs served in an “assemble your own” type fashion with the bread and meatballs separate.
Kẹo Tơ Hồng – Two thick rice pancakes with a taffy like sugar on the inside and shredded dried coconut.
Takoyaki – Although it’s origin is Japanese it’s fire here so we’re getting it.
Bánh Tráng Nướng – Rice paper grilled over charcoal with several toppings. Otherwise known as Vietnamese pizza.
Avocado ice cream.
Dried strawberries, persimmons, taro cake, some fruit mixture that looks like a neon green grape.
You’d be hard pressed to find a place with more dried fruit in a mile radius.
Pandan sweet rice in rice paper.
Egg pancake – A scrambled egg with green onions, mayo, meet, and carrots inside.
Milk roti – Also not Vietnamese, I’d describe it as the Indian version of a croissant, but so good.
Fresh mango
You already had fresh strawberries from the strawberry farm we went to earlier in the day so no need to get them at the market as well.
