Anne Of The Island

Anne of Green Gables was a book that surfaces fond memories of my childhood.

Her adventures continue in the third book in the series.

Below you’ll find some of my favorite quotes:

  • “I love them [cats], they are so nice and selfish. Dogs are TOO good and unselfish. They make me feel uncomfortable. But cats are gloriously human.”
  • “When you’ve learned to laugh at the things that should be laughed at, and not to laugh at those that shouldn’t, you’ve got wisdom and understanding.”
  • “Home and I are such good friends.”
  • “I believe I’ve put forth a tiny soul-root into Kingsport soil this afternoon. I hope so. I hate to feel transplanted.”
  • “I wish I was dead, or that it were tomorrow night,” groaned Phil.
  • “If you live long enough both wishes will come true,” said Anne calmly.”
