A book I didn’t want to read because I thought I already knew what it would say: your phone is a toxic leech on your life, making you anxious.
And yes, it says that.
But amidst that loud, yet almost background-noise alarm bell at this point, there was a valuable reminder: humans are antifragile. We grow stronger through resistance, just as you would approach building muscles—progressing from the 5lb weights to the 10lb ones over time.
This is not an invitation to charge headfirst into every challenge, piling on resistance like some nightmarish all-you-can-eat buffet. Instead, it’s a call to thoughtfully seek personal growth.
Do things that scare you a little.
Build resilience.
Learn to manage stress.
Or in my case, hold onto your brother while he drives a motorcycle and you ride a ripstick.
