Marianna has lived in NYC for 22.
“I’m impressed!” I said.
“I am too.” She replied.
“If you were to me to do it again, I wouldn’t say yes.”
Not that she doesn’t enjoy NYC, it’s just been a challenging path for her.
From Armenia originally she moved to NYC on a whim more or less.
Going to school while babysitting and working at a French cafe, her days were filled.
The cafe has since shut its doors, but its impact is still felt.
It was the place she met her late husband.
A source of new beginnings.
And in that same vein she told me about a book she had written (Letters Made With Leaves) and a new one she was working on.
Sprung from the ground of light hearted exploration, without a purpose, without a set pursuit.
