Western, eastern, northern, southern, the best story is the story where the good guys win. And thankfully for the most important story of all, we know the ending. And, it’s a good one.

No easy to replenish food supplies. A snow tunnel to and from the barn. Snow banks higher than trains.

Here is enough. More than enough. A cup that overflows.

It had been out of reach for so long. But once it was in reach my hands stayed put. Because in the end, accessibility hadn’t changed my values.

Negative emotions: not desired, but not unhelpful. A worry was shared. A worry was commiserated. The commiseration was interpreted as judgment. Offense was taken. Silence. What was said is not what was heard. Feeling less than. Feeling distant. Feeling outside.
