Eliminate comparison

If you can’t define it, or act upon it, forget it.

The great quote comes from an equally great book “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Tim Ferris. Where the book delves into what practices can make you the most efficient and productive.

Comparison can be a big time sink.

The time spent, comparing, focusing and stressing over what you don’t have is time that would be better spent doing something productive.

If you are comparing yourself to something you can’t define or act upon than you are best left to forget it.

A great example of this is portrayed in our everyday dose of social media.

So much of what we see online is a photoshopped adaptation to reality. Spending our time focusing on this illusion is hugely negative.

To instead have the mindset that if you can’t define it, or act upon it, you should forget it will help you eliminate the need for comparison.

This is just like working smarter and not harder and putting your effort where it can make the biggest difference for yourself and others.

Are you against photo shopping or just the comparison of reality to photo shopping. It seems you like the aesthetics of photo shopping, no?
