Now it’s true, acronyms aren’t all bad but they do have a dual function.
On one hand, acronyms serve for more effective communication. Allowing people to save time in communication and refer to things quickly.
On the other hand, acronyms are often used to assert superiority by depending on the listener to have previous knowledge of the acronym. Relying on intimidating sounding acronym often serves as a crutch for your inability to communicate. Don’t fall into that trap because it will burn you.
Instead, consider your audience. Use acronym as a way to increase clarity. Do not use it to speak over the heads of your audience, you will undoubtedly be burning more bridges than you build.
