I like Seth Godin.
He’s an inspiring writer and shines as a bright flame in the face of mediocrity.
He’s been writing daily for many years and has over 7,000 blogs published on his site. He’s displayed an incredible ability to ship daily and motivate others. His dedication, displayed through his actions, proves as a strong foundation to support his written claims.
In his 7 years of writing, he’s covered a variety of topics. However, there are unifying themes, primarily entrepreneurship and self-help.
His writing has lead to ebooks, impactful seminars, and unique platforms. What I gain from studying Seth Godin is that he has established himself as a leader in a space without tieing himself down to a specific topic. This resonates with me because I have an interest in so many things I don’t want to tie myself down to one topic.
Through whatever topics I’m writing on I’ve come to realize something.
I’ve identified my why. The why behind my writing is that through improving myself I inspire others. I want to be an example of what I preach to inspire others to take action.
At the end of the day, I am always responsible for myself, I can’t control the actions of others. However, my own actions are often the biggest influencer over others.
Seth Godin nailed it when he said one of his greatest success in life was “opening doors for people who will open doors for people.” I want to present ideas that I myself practice that make other people change and create a chain reaction.
