Tautology is defined as: the saying of the same thing twice in different words, generally considered to be a fault of style (e.g., they arrived one after the other in succession ).
There’s not much I have to say here besides the fact that I love this word and I think it’s absolutely applicable to the vast majority of my written work.
However, I would argue that tautology is not something that’s necessarily negative, although it’s often the enemy of conciseness.
Tautology is a tool and being able to use and avoid it can be equally valuable.
