A Party

This is more of a mind dump than anything else.

I remember reading an article on best practices for writing a book, an aspiration I still have but is proving to be a project that is an exception to the one year deadline I have for most projects.

The author argued that writing is best observed in two parts: the party and the cleanup.

Currently, I feel like partying.

I am excited.

My mind is entertaining thoughts of the future, what could be, hardships and opportunities to adapt and be a force for good.

I think about things that I’m looking forward to, thing that I’m grateful for.

People occupy each segment.

I think about dying, nothing new there, and am again reminded of my purpose, the bigger picture.

It’s a culmination of things, a whirlwind, a tornado, a hurricane.

It’s messy and that is ok.

I’m enjoying it.

This is the party.

Soon the cleanup will come.

If you’re reading this and still haven’t read The One Thing by Gary Keller, go read it.
