My First Earnings Call

Today I joined Salesforce’s earnings call.

Words like, “digital transformation” and “pipeline” were thrown around like bread sticks at Olive Garden.

It was interesting to hear the comment from one of the executives that Salesforce, since working remotely, feels like it’s “back to the startup days, although we’re now a 50,000+ employee company.”

I think there’s a lot to be said about keeping the agility of a startup. How they achieved that more successfully in a remote environment intrigued me.

There was also talk on customer sentiment and optimistic predictions about the future, etc.

Witnessing an earnings call is an eye opening experience and introduces an entirely different ball game. Those in attendance, Marc Benioff, Mark Hawkins, etc, are people I may never have the opportunity to meet in person.

I also learned about perspectives held by different investors, and new firms I’ve never heard of.
