Karl Marx was a social revolutionary.
Sparks of creativity and volcanoes of passion erupt in his work as he outlines a society of what could be.
This futuristic world view has some appeal, especially to young people as their development tends to be a time when they desire to make great change.
However, this desire to change the world is often translated into a desire to change other people.
I’m guilty of that.
What if, instead of striving to change the world through changing others, we changed the world by changing ourselves.
This is not a trivial task.
It has been said that it is more difficult to rule yourself than to rule a city.
You are complicated. There are conflicting monster inside of you that need to be brought to be addressed and subdued to be a responsible person.
Taking on that challenge is a worthwhile endeavor, and one which might change the world.
