Everything Bad Started Good

Goodness is so to speak, itself: badness is only spoiled goodness. And there must be something good first, before it can be spoiled.

– C.S. Lewis

Can you imagine teaching someone how to cook by only introducing what’s poisonous?

They’d be serving up murderous stars instead of michelin ones.

However, I can think of numerous topics where the spoiled part is discussed but the original good is never acknowledged.

For example, let’s examine beauty standards.

Now a common meme for being unachievable, unrealistic, etc.

However, we rarely consider why we want to be beautiful and how to express that beauty in a healthy and genuine way.

Everything bad started good.
