Set Yourself Up For Success When Starting A New Role

Benefits of scaling an operation you’ve been in on the ground level: a holistic view with context.

  1. You have a really good understanding of the business
  2. You made mistakes and gained valuable learned into the why behind necessary changes
  3. You have a better understanding of what each role is like
  4. You know what departments work well together/really need to collaborate

If you’ve had the privilege of scaling with an organization take note of the things that you knew really well and that allowed you to be really valuable to the company.

Then at your next role try to incorporate knowing those key pieces of information. And if you can’t find them through a quick internal wiki search, start asking your colleagues, etc.
