A Lesson From Lord Of The Rings

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.

“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

The beautiful simplicity in the exchange between the timeless characters of Frodo and Gandalf in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings series needs little elaboration.

Whatever unfavorable challenges and winds faced, there is a decision to be made.

A decision on what to do with the times given us.

How are you approaching that decision?
