Why You Should Never Ask “Do I Have Time?”

Jeff Bezos is a champion of the idea that organizations are most successful when they identify 1-3 big ideas that they solve and focus on improving their ability to create value in those areas.

For example, Amazon’s big ideas are: vast selection, low prices, and quick delivery.

Similarly I’ve written before about how individuals should have core values that they intentionally identify and double down on supporting with activity.

So if there are habits, routines, do’s and don’ts, that you know are important to you: make time for them.

The question should not be, “Do I have time?” but “Is this something that aligns with a core value?”

And if it does, make time.
