“Every writing career starts as a personal quest for sainthood, for self-betterment.” – Joseph Brodsky
Whatever the catalyst for your writing (assignment, challenge) there’s an overlapping goal of improvement.
An improvement in your ability to think, articulate, convince, persuade, explore ideas, etc.
Stating the obvious, improving oneself should be a common denominator.
Yet if we took this perspective it wouldn’t take long to identify areas of your life that need to be halted for they are void of self-betterment, or doubled down on because they serve that purpose well.
