Staying A Sapling

A sapling sprouted in a secluded forrest.

Time passes and roots begin to extend.

Upon discovering a pocket of water, which consistently captures moisture from the morning dew, the sapling grew.

The predictability of the water pocket makes for security, but not one that provides for long term growth.

Quickly the water source is insufficient for the growing saplings needs.

Yet the prospects of moving on are too intimidating,
