Life Lessons From Home Improvement Pt. 1

I stripped a screw head today.

Stripping is caused when a drill bit spins without holding the bite in the screw head, destroying the grooves making the screw difficult to turn.

This isn’t my first time making this mistake.

Why did this happen, again?

I tend to choose the most powerful tool first, instead of the one that will actually meet my needs.

Technically a drill bit was a fine tool for the job.

Technically I’m strong enough to ensure that the bit stays tight with the screw head grooves.

Yet there were times when I didn’t maintain contact with the screw head and it shredded the head.

Sometimes stronger isn’t always better.
