An Advantage, Shackle, Excuse

“I know nothing about airlines, which I think made me eminently qualified to start one..”

With both eyebrows raised and a cordial response, while trying to casually illicit the name of the airline to ensure I never fly it, I’d back away slowly from the source of this statement.

However, the above quote continues with, “…because what we tried to do at Southwest was get away from the traditional way that airlines had done business.” and is delivered by Herbert Kelleher, cofounder of Southwest, and lawyer by training.

Precedent, knowledge, training, can be an advantage, a shackle, an excuse.
