The Relationship Between Confidence And Weakness

Confidence doesn’t mean that you’re blind to weaknesses.

When you are truly confident, I believe, you are aware of what weaknesses you have.

Although you may be able to maintain great eye contact while being blind to your weaknesses, it doesn’t change the reality that they are there.

For example, this week I’ve noticed my confidence in my work and myself increased because of the specific action I’m taking to improve my time management skills. (And it’s only Monday!!)

By identifying a weakness, that excellent time management does not come naturally to me, and taking steps to improve it my confidence has increased. *

*Without a plan of improvement I don’t think you can have confidence. Because although you may know your weaknesses you have no sure way of improving them. And that’s like driving with a blown out tailgate with no plan to fix it.
