The Power Of Love

The Bible is the single greatest love story. It all begins with a divorce, in Genesis chapter 3.

Continuing to Revelation we hear the story of a betrayed lover wooing you and I back into His arms so we can enjoy His love forever.

As you read this incredible story and the biblical ax breaks the frozen sea within us and releases the warm current that flows from our God-invaded center, we become the person we were meant to be.

People who reveal His love.

No matter where you are in your faith journey do not forget the importance of the first step to: be so grieved by your ongoing self-obsession that you accept the free gift of forgiveness and let it overwhelm you with a desire to love as His Son did.

This first step will change you deeply.

From living for relational comfort where joy is shallow to instead learning to love with nails in your hands, and even to love those who put them there.

This captures the essence of what it means to really live.

Although this sounds nice it can also sound like an unrealistic demand to do more. To address such issues, I like to dwell on the below quote.

Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you.

– John Owen

I hope that encourages, delights, and strengthens you.

That is the power of love.
