At the core of the human experience, we desire human connection.

This is great news.

Because when someone opens up and shares something vulnerable, you’ve likely had the “Oh, what do I say now?” moment.

Here’s some unsolicited advice.

Forget about sharing your experience.

Forget about trying to solve their problem.

Forget about the exciting news you want to share.

Remember, they really just desire human connection.

After all, isn’t that what you’d want if you’re telling someone something vulnerable?
