Live Your Values

What does it mean to live your values?

I think a lot of it has to do with the two driving forces of man: pain and pleasure.

Do you associate pain with not living your values?

Do you associate pleasure with living your values?

From the perspective of corporate America, I think you can really tell if a company lives its values by what they celebrate.

Do they celebrate their values?

Do they incentivize people to live those values?

The word live, in the above sentence, is significant.

It implies a level of genuine conviction beyond, for example, display, which has surface level implications.

This same framework is interesting to apply to the individual.

When was the last time you celebrated living your values?

Do you structure your life in a way that incentives alignment with your values?

You are CEO of YOU Inc.

Live your values.
