Thinking Like A Scientist

The process of emotion generation is the same across every human.

If you were to put on the lense of a scientist you would see neural pathways, a mold that forms actions.

We see declining school performance, they see inefficient brain mitochondria.

We see a diabetes pandemic, they see liver and muscle fat accumulation causing insulin resistance.

We see drug abuse, they see presynaptic transporters and postsynaptic receptors.

We see people glued to their phones, they see dysfunction of prefrontal cortex.

Another significant difference here is we see the results, they see cause.

In the book “The Hacking of the American Mind” the science behind how our brains are being influenced by our environment is illuminated.

It makes me want to think more like a scientist.
